Is Waxing Or Threading Better For Your Brows?

Some people will never stop waxing their eyebrows, while others refuse to do anything but thread their brows. But, which one is really better? You've probably heard just as many positives as you have negatives on both waxing and threading. I know I have. But one of them has to be better, right? After all, they're two different techniques.

Waxing is just that, using wax to remove hair. Threading, on the other hand, is the process of rolling cotton thread and removing follicles from their pores. Honestly, both types of hair removal sound painful. But one type is definitely a better option, but it's completely dependent on what's most important to you. Here are the pros and cons of waxing and threading. Now you can make up your own mind.

Waxing Is Quicker And Less Painful

If you're super sensitive to pain, you might want to stick to waxing your eyebrows because waxing is quicker and usually less painful. With that said, threading isn't crazy painful. You won't die or anything like that. But the process does take longer than waxing so you'll have to deal with that uncomfortable sensation longer than you would with waxing.

Threading Is Better For Your Skin

Waxing is the process of yanking your hair from your face. So...yeah, it's probably not the best thing for your skin. Threading is way more gentle. If you're prone to acne or you're using harsh products, it's probably best you thread your brows so your skin avoids as much irritation as possible.

Threading Typically Lasts Longer

Threading is probably the most precise form of hair removal. Those threads can pull out all your hairs, even the tiny ones. So, you won't have to keep going back or touching up your brows with tweezers a week after threading! You can probably go over a month without making an appointment to get your brows fleeked.

Waxing Is Less Expensive

One of the reasons people opt to wax is because the technique usually doesn't cost as much as threading. Of course, it depends on where you live and where you go. But nine times out of 10, threading is way more expensive than waxing.

Waxing Can Be Done On Other Parts Of Your Body

Unlike threading, you can wax the hair off other parts of your body. Threading should only be done on your face! Mainly because threading your legs or arms, will take FOREVER. If you want to venture to other areas, waxing or using a laser is your best bet.
